Strategy

Transform a traditional mall entry-point into a welcoming, main street style retail front. Introduce broad pedestrian walkways, attractive landscaping, and convenient seating to serve as an introduction to a positive retail experience.

Results

The adaptive re-use of a vacant department store anchor, converted the previously enclosed box into a warm, light-filled, multi-story entrance for shoppers. The lifestyle oriented design signaled a new chapter in the mall’s relationship with the community.
