Upon acquisition of Gillette, Procter & Gamble was challenged with taking an existing corporate culture and blending it with their own. They turned to BHDP to help facilitate the conversion, by renovating an existing Gillette manufacturing facility in Boston into a world-class corporate headquarters that would embody P&G’s identity.

Working collaboratively, BHDP transformed the 100-year old building into a fully functional work environment that accommodates all facets of the Gillette business. Utilizing existing, century-old brick buildings as the backdrop, a new, elegantly shaped, multi-story glass enclosed lobby brings softness and a contemporary sophistication to the existing building. Masonry facades were maintained to anchor one side of the lobby, while open panoramic views through full height glass walls provide scenery of the city. The campus also features a newly designed green space that ties into the city’s riverwalk.

The new headquarters accommodates more than 800 employees, and also features a fitness center, dining hall, retail stores, heritage displays as well as Gillette branding throughout.

“The project transformed the site into a world-class facility. The new entrance is appropriate for the world headquarters of a brand such as Gillette and the renovated open offices have increased collaboration across all disciplines”
