Envisioned as a temporary pop-up occupying a 2,000 square foot space in the hip Chelsea neighborhood of New York City; the inviting store design layers a slick, yet refined collection of elements executed in the brand’s signature color palette of black and white atop the existing raw concrete and brick shell of the building. Inside the store, several simplistic gestural components offer shoppers a unique compact setting that enriches their boot selection journey that begins with a single centrally positioned table running the length of the space. In addition, the white gloss ledges at the perimeters and the brand’s bold, over scale “bear” logo focal wall that was artfully assembled using over 200 tiles of footwear materials, combine to create a dramatic shopping experience that’s both texturally rich and subtly sophisticated. This simple, yet impactful retail environment effectively sets the stage for the assortment to shine and bring to life an experience as distinctive as the Sorel brand itself.
