As a leading global financial firm, a Confidential Financial Services Client partnered with BHDP to establish a premier Client Center in Summit, NJ, an exclusive setting conceived for its most distinguished clientele. The challenge was to ground the space in the identity of its locale, drawing meaning from the surrounding neighborhood while upholding the elevated standards of a world-class financial institution.
02 Solution
The design looks to Summit's compelling local history for inspiration, referencing the historical architecture of the adjacent neighborhood, the romance of rail travel, and the legacy of the city's silk industry to craft a space rich in narrative and craft. Contemporary details were introduced with precision, modernizing the environment while preserving the integrity of its early 20th-century story. The result is a space where history and sophistication exist in seamless dialogue.
