Blue Ash Towne Square wins 2025 Cincinnati Design Award for Landscape Architecture & Community Planning

We are honored to announce that Blue Ash Towne Square won the 2025 “Landscape Architecture & Community Planning – Implementation” Merit award by Cincinnati Design Awards (CDA). The CDA program recognizes the best built-environment design produced by Cincinnati-area firms and promotes the social and economic value of good design. A distinguished jury of design thought leaders and eminent practitioners presents the awards each year.

The Blue Ash Towne Square renovation reimagines a fragmented public space as a vibrant, layered landscape where accessibility, civic pride, and everyday rhythm converge. Through intentional design, the square transforms into a true neighborhood anchor—a shared front porch that invites connection, reflection, and celebration.

Universal accessibility was fundamental. Through intentional design, the team ensured that every element, from elevated terraces to water features, is fully inclusive. Walkability and visibility are prioritized, removing barriers and inviting all visitors to engage fully. The square supports day and night use, year-round activities, and a wide range of programs. 

This award-winning project isn't just an improvement—it's a cultural and civic expression of who the community is and hopes to be. By blending legacy, function, and beauty, it has become a lasting place of belonging at the heart of daily life.
