Cedarville University Expands Student Housing to Meet Growing Enrollment

BHDP is excited to continue its long-standing partnership with Cedarville University by designing a new student apartment complex to support the university’s rapidly growing enrollment. Located on the east side of State Route 72, directly across from the main campus, this development will introduce four new off-campus apartment buildings to enhance student residential life.

Each building will feature 12 two-bedroom units—totaling 48 beds—and each apartment will offer approximately 1,100 SF of living space, including a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms.

The project is targeting completion in time for the start of the 2026 academic year.

“Cedarville continues to make intentional investments that enhance the student experience,” said Paul Orban, BHDP’s Managing Principal and Higher Education Market Leader. “We value our long-standing relationship with the university and are honored to support their vision and help accommodate record enrollment through this latest housing development.”

This student housing expansion adds to a growing list of BHDP-designed projects on Cedarville’s campus, including the Scharnberg Business and Communication Center, the Callan Athletic and Academic Expansion, and the recently announced Bolthouse Academic Center.
