01 Challenge

BHDP was tasked with creating a fixed MRI suite within an existing Raleigh Radiology imaging clinic, replacing the previously used mobile MRI unit. The new MRI suite was designed to integrate seamlessly with the clinic’s established imaging services and workflows.

02 Solution

A key design element was the incorporation of backlighting along the back wall of the MRI suite. This indirect lighting not only brightens the space but also creates a more relaxed, soothing atmosphere for patients. By avoiding harsh overhead lights, the lighting design reduces discomfort and helps keep patients at ease during their MRI procedure.
