Panther Creek MRI
01 Challenge
Wake Radiology at UNC Health Rex needed to expand its imaging capabilities at its Panther Creek location with a new MRI suite. BHDP worked closely with the client to understand their priorities, particularly regarding storage capacity in both the MRI room and the control room, within a compact 1,036 SF footprint.
02 Solution
The design encompassed a new MRI room, equipment room, control room, and C-arm room, all carefully engineered to meet the MRI’s strict clearance requirements. To elevate the patient experience, BHDP introduced a signature ceiling design featuring a skylight fixture that projects calming imagery overhead. Staff circulation was thoughtfully planned to support efficient, uninterrupted workflows throughout.

The completed suite delivers a welcoming environment where patients feel at ease and clinical staff can work with confidence.
