Murray State University Selects BHDP Architecture for 3-Year Campus Master Plan

Murray State University announced last week the start of a three-year strategic planning initiative designed to guide the university’s future priorities and campus development. The plan, developed by BHDP Architecture, will serve as a strategic roadmap to improve the student experience, strengthen academics, and encourage innovation.

A strategic plan is being developed alongside the master plan with a committee of university employees and will emphasize supporting financial sustainability, investing in faculty and staff, and expanding community engagement.

“We’re excited to work with the Murray State team in developing this campus master plan,” says Jessica Schmidt, Senior Project Manager at BHDP. “This initiative will serve as the foundational plan for the university that we hope will serve both students and faculty for years to come.”

The master plan will encompass roughly 50 buildings on both the University’s main campus and West Farm campus. The main goal is to optimize its current footprint, ensuring that the spaces serve academic and student life needs efficiently.
