A longstanding trusted partner, this global financial services provider enlisted BHDP to renovate a 650,000 square feet, four-building campus in Research Triangle Park, N.C. with the goal of co-locating their business (contact center and technology), inspiring their technology groups to innovate and providing a great experience for their employees and customers.

BHDP’s visioning process determined the project’s success criteria, leading to an efficient contact center, effective training and amenity spaces, new branded central lobby and new space agile enough for the mobile worker while still personal enough to invite relationship and community-building among the disparate team members.

Flexibility, balance, and worker well-being guided BHDP’s design decisions throughout the workspace. Semi-enclosed “booth” alcoves, away from workstations facilitate concentration for heads down work, while providing convenient stopping points for impromptu meetings. Shared, semi-enclosed community spaces pull disruptive meetings away from individual work zones. Natural light surrounds the perimeter of the environment, flooding the space with views of the outdoors and enhancing employee well-being.

Custom environmental graphics further enhance the overall impact of the space, celebrating both the distinct qualities of each business unit and the geographic region. Profiles of significant innovators throughout history — Marie Curie and Benjamin Franklin, for example. — embrace the diverse nature of the workforce and encourage participation in the forward-thinking, fast-paced company culture.
